When to visit

The Hunter Valley, month by month.

Australia’s oldest wine region rewards a visit in every season — vintage and concerts in summer, golden vineyards in autumn, truffles and big reds in winter, blossom and Christmas lights in spring. Here’s what each month is like, and why there’s never a wrong time to stay.
